Loop Scavenger Hunt
Directions:
Open an empty project in GarageBand. For each of the items below, add a track, and drag a loop that you feel represents that idea, feeling, emotion mentioned.
At least three items on the scavenger hunt should be layered loops (minimum of two) that sound good together.
Your project should also be organized properly. I want your loops to be staggered on different tracks. Here is a picture of what your project should look like:
- Select a loop that represents the kind of music you’d like to hear at the school dance.
- Select a loop that represents your mood at this very moment.
- Select a loop that represents the kind of music you might listen to when you’re sad.
- Select a loop that you might choose to use as a lullaby for a small child.
- Select a loop that might be used for the soundtrack of a frightening scene of a scary movie!
- Select a loop that might be used for the soundtrack of a sad or emotional scene of a dramatic movie.
- Select a loop that represents the kind of music that someone in your family (from at least a generation older than you) would like to listen to.
- Select a loop that might be appropriate to use as the theme music of a local television news station.
- Select a loop that represents the kind of music you might listen to when you want to relax, study, or do homework.
- Select a loop that represents the kind of music you might listen to when you need confidence (maybe before the big game, or a test, or a performance).
